Experiment of electromagnetic induction

In this project, we're going to find out what POWER electromagnetic induction links, using the battery, transformer and LEDs.

The schematic shows you see how to set up this project. Electromagnetic induction means the generation of electricity in one of two coils wound on an iron core that occurs only when the current supplied to the otter coils changed..

When you finish setting up this project keep your eyes on the two LEDs and turn power ON.

Did you notice one of the LED1 flash the moment when you turned power ON?

That's electromagnetic induction. But if you keep power ON, the current doesn't change, so no electromagnetic induction occurs and the LED doesn't light up either. Now, watch the two LEDs closely again and turn power OFF. Which LED flashed this time?

Turn the power switch ON and OFF and see how the electromagnetic induction occurs.
